COURSE TITLE:  INTRO TO CRYPTOCURRENCY AND BITCOIN
This two-hour course will introduce you to cryptocurrency and Bitcoin, the first major crypto. At the conclusion of the course, you will understand key concepts about Bitcoin and crypto, the upcoming paradigm shift it ushers in for financial markets, some terms worth knowing regarding crypto, and distinguish facts from rumors about crypto, and finally, how to get started investing in it.

Topics covered include:
  • What is cryptocurrency?
  • Why is crypto a computer/internet thing and not just a financial/investment thing?
  • Can you make money investing in or trading crypto?
  • What are exchanges, blockchains, and other crypto terms like “hodling”?
  • What does the future hold for Bitcoin and crypto, versus stocks or precious metals?
  • How can I safely get started with crypto?
At the end of the course, interested participants will be shown how to set up an exchange account and get started.
